AUSTRALIA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM BUSINESS The Border Mail: "Reward for computers return
ANOTHER Mate St business is counting the cost of a burglary after two break-ins in four days.
DLG Glazing is offering $1000 for the return of a new flat screen computer which was stolen in|the early hours of Saturday morning.
Ms Sally Harriott said thieves had broken into the premises during the weekend and when staff arrived on yesterday morning, they found security grilles had been removed again overnight in another attempted break in.
It makes you feel sick that someone has broken in and been in here,? she said.
Ms Harriott said she often wondered what she would find when she arrived at work in the morning.
We had just upgraded our computer system and our flat screen computer has been taken which is worth about $2000,? she said.
This is not the first time we have been broken into.
About 18 months ago we had a ute stolen and then six months ago we had some tools stolen.?
Ms Harriott said businesses in Mate St were sick of being the victims of crime on the Border.
We are offering a $1000 cash reward for the return of the computer,? she said.
Albury duty officer Insp Iain Keith said police were deployed throughout the city from intelligence-based information, which showed where there was an increase in crime.
He said there was not a noted increase in crime in the Mate St area but that police were aware that some businesses had been targeted more than once.
Insp Keith said police would monitor the situation according|to the intelligence they had on hand"
