CALIFORNIA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM GIFT SHOP NBC 4 - News - Computers, Gift-Shop Items Stolen At Medieval Times: "Computers, Gift-Shop Items Stolen At Medieval Times"
BUENA PARK, Calif. -- Computers and gift-shop items were stolen in an early-morning burglary Monday at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, according to a representative of the Buena Park theme attraction.
The bandit "got by our security staff" between 2:30-4 a.m., and may have entered the building at 7662 Beach Blvd. through an unsecured door, said David Manuel of Medieval Times.
The entry the burglars used is near the gift shop -- where the merchandise apparently missing includes decorative swords and shields that hang on walls, along with pewter cups and jewelry -- and the offices where the computers were taken, Manuel said.
The amount of the loss is yet to be tallied, Manuel said, adding there were no reports of damage
Medieval Times, which features a feast and jousting show, has security on hand full-time, Manuel said.
"There's someone here 24 hours," he said. "There is a stable area at the end of the building."
The break-in was "definitely unusual," Manuel added. "I've been here 11 years, and it's the first I'm aware of."
