Laptop theft spree reported at MATC

Laptop computers seem to be the prime targets of thieves on the Madison Area Technical College campus on the city's north side.

Seven laptops were stolen from the technology services department at the school between noon on Sunday and 7 a.m. on Monday when the theft was reported to Madison police by MATC security staff.

That brings the number of laptops stolen from MATC up to 19 since the first of the year.
