FOUNTAIN VALLEY Police arrested a man who they suspect broke into a wholesale equipment business and stole several computers and a TV.

Charles Daniel Perez Jr., 32, of Santa Ana, is facing charges of burglary and possession of stolen property, according to Fountain Valley police. Perez, who is on parole from the state Department of Corrections, is being held without bail.

At 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Fountain Valley police patrol units responded to a burglary alarm that went off at R. L. Ebbert Co., a construction/mining equipment wholesaler in the 18300 block of Mount Baldy Circle, police said.

A unit that arrived on the scene in less than two minutes discovered the front glass door had been smashed. Another responding unit observed a vehicle leaving the area, which is primarily an industrial area.

The vehicle driven by Perez was stopped without incident. Several computers and a TV worth about $2,000 were found in his car, according to police.
