WATSONVILLE
Stolen computers recovered
Several laptop computers stolen from a warehouse of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District were found Saturday at the home of a Watsonville man.
The computers, 13 in all, were reportedly taken from the warehouse on May 23 during a burglary.
Witnesses at the time told police they saw two men in the area and gave them a license plate number for the vehicle they were driving, said Sgt. Robert Montes.
Saturday, the vehicle was stopped by officer Juan Trujillo, who with the help of officers Skip Prigge and Jason Kohler connected it back to the burglary, said Montes.
A search warrant was served on the home of the vehicles' occupant, Robert Castillo, 24.
At Castillo's home five of the stolen computers were recovered along with two digital overhead projectors and four firearms, police reported.
Officers also found evidence of identify theft at the home, said Montes.
Castillo was booked into County Jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of burglary and intimidating a witness.
