Johannesburg metro police arrested three robbers in Yeoville, Johannesburg, after they had struck at a Midrand business on Tuesday evening, spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.
The metro police had chased a "suspicious" blue Polo down Raleigh Street. When the car crashed into a parked red Opel Corsa at about 10pm, the robbers were arrested, said Minnaar.
The robbers had in their possession computer screens, laptops, handbags and a digital camera - worth a total of R120 000 - that had been stolen from a marketing company, Hoge Presentations, in Allandale Road, Midrand.
The three were expected to appear in the Johannesburg magistrate's court soon on charges of armed robbery and possession of stolen goods. - Sapa |
