BUFFALO (2007-10-26) Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark and Comptroller Mark Poloncarz have been asked by County Attorney Laurence Rubin to get to the bottom of a mystery at the Rath Building.

Hundreds of county-owned computers are said to be missing; or if not missing, unaccounted for.

Rubin says it is his understanding that four employees of the County's Division of Information and Support Services have been subpoenaed to testify before a Federal Grand Jury.

Clark and Poloncarz are conducting separate reviews.

Meanwhile, County Executive Giambra has acknowledged the whereabouts of some of the computers, telling reporters today that they were 'lent' to Paul Clark's failed campaign for County Executive

Giambra said 'there are no issues of concern that we have regarding this matter.'

County Attorney Rubin issued a brief statement saying he is awaiting the results of the reviews before commenting further."
