CHARLOTTETOWN -- An employee's computer was among several items stolen from the Charlottetown office of federal Fisheries and Oceans Minister Gail Shea during a break-in over the weekend.

Charlottetown City Police were called to the scene after employees arrived at work this morning to find the office of one Shea's employees in Charlottetown had been broken into.

Sources say the office was "cleaned out" and that the employee's computer was one of the items stolen.

The culprits may have gained access to the fourth floor office by breaking a window adjacent to the top floor of the Pownal Street Parkade. The parkade's rooftop is located next to the broken window.

No one is believed to have been hurt in the incident.

Police have not yet released any official details.

Shea’s office is located in the BDC Place building on Kent Street in Charlottetown. The MP’s office is a secure one, comeplete with video surveillance and an intercom system at the door.
