Theft foiled: About 4 p.m. Jan. 28, two women entered the Wal-Mart at 4700 S. Flamingo Rd. and filled a cart with two desktop computers, two Hewlett-Packard printers and two electric irons. When they left the store, a security guard stopped them on the sidewalk and told them they left without paying. The women left the cart on the sidewalk and got into a white Lexus with a temporary tag driven by a third woman. The items left behind were valued at $1,083.
Home burglarized: Someone smashed a bedroom window and entered a home in the 1300 block of Northwest 75th Terrace between 12:30 and 1:50 p.m. Jan. 25. The burglar stole a Dell laptop computer and jewelry from a dresser in the bedroom and two more Dell laptops from the living room. The loss was estimated at $4,200.
Home burglarized: Someone forced open a fence gate and pried open a sliding glass window to enter a home in the 5200 block of Northwest 99th Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. Jan. 19. The burglar stole jewelry, watches and a Hewlett-Packard Pavilion desktop computer and monitor.
Laptop taken: Between 8 p.m. Feb. 2 and 10 a.m. Feb. 3, a burglar entered an unlocked 2000 Pontiac Montana in the 300 block of Fairway Circle and stole a bag containing a Dell laptop computer valued at $1,400.
