LEE, N.H. Police in Lee (New Hampshire) have recovered more than 30 thousand dollars in stolen goods believed to have been taken from homes in Lee and Barrington. The loot includes jewelry, 18 hundred dollars in cash, laptop computers, cameras, silver, passports, guns and knives.

Police Sergeant Tom Dronsfield says someone broke into five homes at the end of last month. Attempted burglaries were reported in nearby Madbury and Nottingham.

Police aren't saying what led them to the stolen goods, but they say tips poured in after they sent letters warning residents to look out for a white van with ladder racks that was believed to have Massachusetts plates.

No one has been charged yet.
