computer stolen in Methuen housebreak

METHUEN — Burglars smashed the window in a rear door to get inside a Pilgrim Circle home Sunday morning and
left with a laptop computer and $5,000 cash, police said.

Officers were sent to the home at 10:43 a.m. Sunday, where a resident told them she had gone to work out about 8:45 a.m. and returned home about 10:20 a.m., and found her
Gateway laptop was missing from her room, her bureau drawers had been gone through, and items were tossed around the room, police said.

She told police $5,000 in cash in a Tupperware container was taken from under her bed.

The case was forwarded to the detective division for further investigation, police said.
