Burglars take computers from KVPR studios

Valley Public Radio in northwest Fresno was burglarized early Friday in what was described as a smash-and-grab burglary.

One laptop computer and one desktop computer were stolen from the station's studios in the 3400 block of West Shaw Avenue near Broadway Faire movie theater. Also, an audio recorder and microphone were taken, said Joe Moore, KVPR's director of content.

A computer monitor also was destroyed, he said.

The burglary was reported about 2 a.m.
