Men allegedly stole computers from center
MACOMB - Three men arrested Thursday are accused of at least two break-ins at a Macomb day-care center where computer equipment was stolen.
Joseph J. Barnes, 30, and Joshua R. Moulton, 24, both of Macomb and John Fitzjarrald, 17, of Plymouth were each charged with two counts of burglary Friday in McDonough County Circuit Court.
Police said they received a tip Thursday that the three were moving at least some of the stolen items to a house in Sciota.
Police went to Macomb and Sciota residences and said that between the two, they found eight computers that were stolen over the past week. Two break-ins at the center, one day apart, were reported to police earlier in the week.
Prosecutors said the three men told police they had been inside Catch A Stare day-care center on West Piper Street three times to steal. They said they didn't force their entry but used a 'loose door' to get inside.
Police believe they recovered all of the missing equipment.
All three men remained in the county jail Friday, Fitzjarrald on $10,000 bond and Barnes on $20,000 bond. Moulton's bond is $30,000 because he has at least four burglary convictions, prosecutors said.
A Dec. 13 preliminary hearing is set for all three men"
