FORT WORTH, Texas -- A Wilmer-Hutchins district maintenance worker is on leave after 20 laptop computers have gone missing.
Police escorted Willie Dunn from the school administration building on Monday. The district said $19,000 worth of computers were stolen in September.
The school board will make a decision on Dunn's future once the police department finishes its investigation and once its decision-making powers are restored.
The troubled school district is currently under a temporary restraining order after being stripped of its powers to take any action. On Thursday, a judge is to decide if the the board members are competent enough to make good decisions for the district.
