Burglars have gone on a laptop-stealing spree through central Sacramento, and Sacramento Police and California Highway Patrol officers are looking for at least two men and about 20 computers.
Police spokesman Sgt. Justin Risley said there have been nine burglaries in state government and private officers since Dec. 27. According to police officials, the burglaries have occurred in the early evening to morning hours at:
• 1416 Ninth St. on Dec. 27. Four laptop computers were stolen.
• 921 11th St. on Jan. 4. Several laptop computers and cash were taken.
• 1415 L St. on Jan. 11. One computer was stolen.
• 1029 K St. on Jan. 12. A laptop and another computer were stolen.
• 901 P St. on Jan. 13. Three laptop computers were stolen.
• 1130 K St. between Jan. 14 and 18. Three laptop computers were stolen.
• 2800 L St. and 1414 K St. between Jan. 14 and 17. Computers and cash were stolen.
• 1110 K St. on Jan. 19. Six laptop computers were stolen.
