Two incidents of theft occurred in the Nosker House residence hall during winter break while it was unoccupied. No leads have been provided yet for who may be responsible for the crimes.

According to victimized Nosker residents, Matt Gillaugh, a sophomore in finance and Ryan Kaercher, a sophomore in marketing, several items were stolen from their dorm room.

"My entire computer was stolen," Gillaugh said, "including the monitor, keyboard, hardrive, speakers, mouse, Ethernet cord and even the mousepad. Other items of lesser value were also taken. They stole a chess board, my roommate's cologne, and the locks were broken on our drawers, but nothing was taken out of them."

The victims of the second Nosker incident had valuable items taken as well, said theft victim, Ryan Burt, a sophomore in business.

"From our room they stole two printers, a wireless router, a mouse, a stack of cds, and oddly enough a box of change that had about $20 in it," Burt said.

Although the residence hall robberies took place during winter break, Nosker experienced a previous case of theft on the weekend of Nov. 19 in the Communication Technology Scholars office, said David McIntyre, Program Coordinator.

"Four laptop computers were stolen, along with five cameras and an LCD projector," McIntyre said. "I discovered the robbery on Monday and filed a police report. (The policemen) came and finger-printed, but I don't have any details yet."

It is yet to be determined whether or not the crimes in the Communication Technology Scholars office can be linked to the dorm room robberies, but the possibility still exists, said Rick Amweg, Assistant Chief of the Public Information Office for the University police.

"All of these cases have been referred to our detectives bureau for further investigation," said OSU police Assistant Chief of the Public Information Office. "These are ongoing investigations. Property has been stolen on three separate incidents. There is some indication that these incidents may be linked, but we haven't confirmed that at this point."
