COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says laptop computers with personal information on thousands of Medicaid recipients were stolen from a private managed care agency.

Officials with Buckeye Community Health Plan reported on Thursday that four computers were stolen from their Columbus office.

Two of the computers contain the names, addresses and Social Security numbers for all of the agency's 72-thousand subscribers in Lucas, Summit and Stark counties, as well as medical information on 13-thousand consumers in Stark County.

Accessing the computers requires a password, but the files themselves are not password protected.The company plans to mail notices to all customers on Monday and review its security procedures.
