$40,000 in audio-visual gear stolen from Peabody High in Alexandria

$40,000 in audio-visual gear stolen from Peabody High in AlexandriaA Peabody Magnet High School employee reported to police Thursday that about $40,000 in computer and audio-visual equipment was stolen from the school over the summer.

The employee said several items -- cameras, video equipment, laptops and projectors -- were taken from several rooms in the school during summer vacation. The employee said the rooms likely were left unlocked.
