UMass police seek 2 men suspected of stealing laptop computer from dormitory

This is one of two men University of Massachusetts police are looking for in connection with the
theft of a laptop from a dormitory early Sunday morning.


AMHERST –
University of Massachusetts police are looking for two men wanted in connection with the theft of a laptop computer from Hamlin Hall dormitory.

A Hamlin Hall resident awoke Sunday around 3:50 a.m. to find a man in his room attempting to steal his computer. The resident yelled and the intruder ran away and left the residence hall. The resident then discovered his roommate’s computer was missing.

Police have posted images on the police Web site and are asking for help from the UMass community.

Anyone with information may call UMass police at (413) 545-2121 or the UMPD Detective Bureau at (413) 545-0893 or provide an anonymous tip by calling (413) 577-8477.

This is the second of two men UMass police are looking for in connection with the
theft of a laptop over the weekend.
