Worker faces theft charges for allegedly stealing a computer
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP | An employee with a tent rental company faces theft charges, after police said he was seen stealing a laptop computer from the Porter County Expo Center.
Porter County Sheriff's Department said shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, a man reported his computer stolen from the Buggy Wheel Pavilion. He said there were only about 12 people on site at the fairgrounds at the time and they were all tent rental employees, 4-H members and jail inmates.
A manager with the tent company later learned one of his employees, Joshua Hansel, 24, of Kouts, was bragging to coworkers about stealing the computer.
Hansel reportedly admitted to the theft and was arrested without incident.
