PC caucus offices broken into; computer equipment stolen
The legislative offices of the Manitoba Progressive Conservative caucus were broken into overnight and items were stolen.
"This morning PC caucus staff and MLAs discovered that a break-in occurred last night at some of our offices here at the Manitoba Legislature. Computer equipment was stolen," said Ralph Eichler (Lakeside), chair of the Manitoba PC caucus.
"Obviously this event is very disturbing and we will be cooperating fully with the authorities in order to resolve this crime. We will also seek to review the circumstances surrounding this event, so our MLAs and our staff can have confidence that the Manitoba Legislature is secure."
A spokesman for the party said the caucus was reluctant to release more information so as not to hamper an investigation.
