A downtown professional reported that her office was broken into over the weekend and a number of computers were stolen. The suspect also reportedly removed flowers and topiaries from the business.
An employee at a Southside book store reported that two men stole money from a tip jar in the store. The store has video of the theft and will turn it over to police.
A group of area men face weapons and an attempted murder charge on allegations they were involved in a possible attempted murder incident in the City of Aiken over the weekend. According to reports, a disturbance escalated on Jehossee Drive over the weekend, which reportedly led to at least one suspect pulling the trigger on a weapon several times, but the gun didn't fire. The case is still under investigation.
Aiken Public Safety is investigating a car break-in reported on Newberry Street over the weekend. The victim found a window broken out, but nothing was reported as stolen.
A car break-in was reported on York Street over the weekend. The victim reported her portable jumper cable box was stolen after someone smashed in a window.
An Aiken man reported that he was robbed by a gunman while he was on Maurice Terrace late Friday. The victim reported that he had been pistol whipped, but police did not find any evidence of such an assault. The case is under investigation.
A car break-in was reported on Sumter Street over the weekend. The victim told police her purse was taken from the car, admitting that the vehicle had been left unlocked.
