24 Computers Stolen from Cooley Middle School, Pair Arrested
A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of burglary after allegedly breaking into Cooley Middle School’s computer lab on two separate occasions and stealing equipment. The first incident, on June 20 around 10:15 p.m., resulted in nine stolen computers and no arrests. The second incident, on June 16 around 10:18 p.m., turned out a bit different. Officers responding to the school alarm stopped an SUV being driven off the campus, and found 15 computers stacked in the back. Turns out they were from the school computer lab, which had again been broken into. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Tracy, was arrested on suspicion of committing both burglaries. His suspected accomplice, a 22-year-old woman from Roseville, was found on foot in the area and also arrested on suspicion of the burglaries. Officers weren't able to recover the nine computers from the first burglary and believe the suspects had already sold them.
