A rash of recent burglaries on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus continues.
Early Thursday morning six iMac computers were stolen from the UH College of Social Sciences.

"The computers were physically locked down using this cord that goes in the back, and you can see it's been torn," said Holly Sevier, a former UH grad student.

Sevier's computer was one of the computers that was stolen

"Feels like my work space here has been violated. We often have students in here helping them individually work on writing, Helping them strengthen their skills," said Sevier.
Six brand new computers valued at about $1600 each, but it's more than that.

"The teaching materials that I spend a large amount of time developing so that my students get the best education that they can," said Sevier.

UH grad student Jonathan Dial said, "I think they pried it open with, they said a crow bar or something."
Just down the hall, Dial just missed being burglarized.

"What we thought was that they started at the other one and then by the time they got here they got scared, or ran out of time, or didn't have enough room to carry everything or something," said Dial.

Steel plates now reinforce the pried open doors.
The burglaries at Saunders Hall are the latest of a number of crimes happening on the Manoa campus.

"Security issues coming up on campus. I've heard of students being sexually harassed in the dormitory, and like a lot of thefts on Dole Street, and all that. So, there are a lot of crimes around campus, so it's not new," said UH grad student Yoko Wang

Can something more be done?
"Well I mean maybe there could be more regular security checks or something like that. Or maybe if there were some security cameras in the hall, and at least that way we could at least monitor, and then look back and see what happened afterwards," said Dial.

At least one victim isn't losing her sense of humor while recounting what she lost.
"My fridge was emptied of the health drinks that were in there, very health conscious burglars," Sevier said
