Theft of computers from two S.E. elementary schools ‘likely related,’ say police
CALGARY— Authorities were investigating break-ins at two southeast elementary schools Wednesday in which computer equipment, including laptops, was reported stolen.
Police said alarm bells were set off at Douglasdale School just after midnight Wednesday, but there were no signs of forced entry. In Cranston, police found damage at an elementary school where electronics were also reported stolen.
Duty inspector Patty McCallum said the theft cases were “likely related” given the location and time.
McCallum was unable to say how much was looted.
