The morning of Nov. 10 started out like any other school day. That is, until football coaches at the Memorial High School Senior Campus discovered that they had become victims of a burglary.
Offenders forced their way into the field house and then into the main coaching staff office sometime during the night of Nov. 9.
Among the items taken from several areas were a Prostar brand laptop computer, four digital thermometers, an ethernet computer network control box, a GE brand digital telephone and a Sony brand digital camera. Total estimated loss from stolen property and damages is nearly $6,000.
Anyone with information about this crime can make an anonymous call to the 24-hour Victoria Crime Stoppers tip line at 361-572-4200. Those with information that leads to an arrest and indictment could be eligible for cash rewards.
