Imenti North DC’s office broken into and data stolen
VITAL information regarding Imenti North security operations is believed to have been stolen after robbers broke into the DC's office, stole computers and disarranged files.
The robbers broke into two offices and gained access to the DC's office through the window and later drilled holes through the ply wood walls that partition the offices.
Confirming the incident Imenti North DO Priscilla Wanyiri expressed shock at how the robbers gained access to the building yet it is under 24-hour surveillance by administration police officers. She said police are investigating the incident and have not ruled out the possibility of an inside job.
She disputed allegations that the computer stolen had vital information but officers who sought anonymity confirmed that it is used for storing top secret district security information.
