Phoenix police arrested three men Thursday night on suspicion of stealing laptops from people at local coffee shops.
Jordan Griggs, Shawn Thompson and Camden Jernigan, all 19, were arrested around 8:30 p.m. on suspicion of participating in a string of coffee shop laptop robberies dating back to November, according to Officer James Holmes, a spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department.
In April, detectives worked to solve a series of laptop robberies at various coffee shops around the Valley, mostly at Starbucks, Holmes said. Most of these 15 incidents occurred in November.
Police tracked the suspected robbers and caught them as they stole a laptop while a victim was typing on it at a Starbucks near Bethany Home Road and 16th Street, Holmes said.
No one was injured in these crimes. The laptop was returned to the rightful owners.
