Kenya: Thieves Strike Again in Nyali Aspirant's Office

Thieves have once again broken into the office of a Nyali parliamentary seat aspirant's offices and stolen computers. The thugs broke into Hezron Awiti's offices and stolen computers. The thugs this time stole eight computers and laptops. This comes barely two days after thugs broke into the offices of his personal assistant and stole two computers.
This time, the thugs stole eight sets of computers including laptops. This particular burglary is now raising eyebrows. His business premises doubles up as his campaign secretariat offices. The offices are located along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue in Mombasa. "This is strange. It seems like there is more than meets the eye," said one of Awiti's workers.
Awiti suspects the burglaries have to with politics. The aspirant is seeking for ODM nomination. Police who are investigating the incidents claim, it could be an inside job, but they yet to arrive at any conclusion. Some of the officers privy to the investigations suspect an inside job given the manner in which the thuggery has been occurring.
The thugs have been breaking into the offices on the first floor of the Habo Plaza along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue through the window. Mombasa CID boss Shadrack Kitheka said they are still piecing together information. They once again dusted the area for finger prints. "Some people went there again. We are still investigating," said Kitheka who did not want to divulge much of the information.
Awiti said his life is now in danger but remained positive that no amount of intimidation will make him abandon his quest to represent the Nyali residents in Parliament.
