Little Rock detectives recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen items that were taken from more then ten local businesses.

Police say they had been conducting surveillance on the two suspects for more than a week.

But it was the hotel staff that pointed out suspicious activity in one of their rooms.

The two suspects had been staying here at Extended Stay America, while apparently breaking into nearby businesses.

Police arrested 32-year-old Kevin Murphree and 33-year-old Tammy Gore and charged them both with theft and possession of a controlled substance.

Police recovered several computers, components, keyboards, and other accessories as well as more than a hundred-thousand dollars worth of prescription drugs.

Police have identified some of the businesses that were broken into including Crye-Leike Realty, which was burglarized Saturday night.

(Sgt. Terry Hastings, Little Rock Police) "We have some businesses we know that computer belong to but we may need other businesses to contact us and tell us if they had computers stolen in the last couple of weeks and we might, can hook them up with their computer."

Police say it's unclear why the suspects were stealing the computer items but assume they would either be re-sold or used to steel the owners' identities.
