• A male student attempted to take a book out of the Emory Bookstore in the Dobbs University Center at 10 a.m. Jan. 29 and set the alarm off. The student said he wanted to exchange an older version of the book for the new one, but the bookstore refused to exchange it because he no longer had the receipt. The subject left the store, but the older book was later discovered along with a theft detection device.
• Three Dell desktop computers were reportedly stolen from a locked room on the first floor of the Atwood Chemistry Building between Dec. 24 and Jan. 15. The computers, which were property of the University, were valued at $1,000 each"
