MANAMA: Police have reportedly questioned a string of people over the theft of phone cards worth BD20,000 from a Manama supermarket.
The stolen cards started turning up at smaller cold stores around the country, sources said yesterday.
They said police had questioned several cold store operators, to find out who they bought the cards from.
It is understood several people were detained for further questioning.
The cards were stolen in a raid on a supermarket in Hoora earlier this month.
Raiders reportedly broke open the safe in which the cards were stored.
They also took BD400 in cash and a computer, said sources
