P165T cash, equipment stolen from Quezon Elementary School
AN ESTIMATED P165,000 in cash and assorted office equipment were reportedly stolen after an "akyat-bahay" robbery gang allegedly burglarized the Quezon Elementary School at Session Road Extension sometime between Thursday night and early Friday morning.
Stolen were three computer units worth P51,000, several sets of medical kits valued at P35,000, two 21-inch color television sets costing P16,000, an Olympia typewriter priced at P15,000, two Hawlett - Packard computer printers priced at P8,000, a computer monitor worth P6,000, a Minolta camera with filter valued at P4,900, one set of computer speakers costing P3,000, two automatic voltage regulators priced at P1,000, one encyclopedia book worth P800, one dictionary valued at P800, a computer mouse bought for P200 and cash amounting to P4,600.
Insp. Benhur Manipon, officer-in-charge (OIC) of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 5, identified the first person to discover the alleged burglary as Susana Co Prado, a teacher of the school.
Prado said she discovered that the school was burglarized when she arrived there at around 6:20 a.m. last February 27.
However, the break-in was reported to the police by another teacher identified as Mia Babilonia.
The case is still undergoing investigation as of presstime Sunday
