Posted Tue, 09 Mar 2004
Limpopo police appealed to the public on Tuesday to be cautious when buying second hand computers following the theft of 18 computers from a school.
Police spokesperson Captain Ailwei Mushavhanamadi said the thieves disabled an electric fence and appeared to have used a crowbar to gain entry to the Kudama Secondary School in Muduluni, near Makhado between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
A video machine, a television set and two music systems were also stolen.
"We suspect that whoever stole these computers will try to sell them and appeal to the public to be cautious about buying a second hand computer," Mushavhanamadi said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Captain Mbalanganye on 082-565-8432.
