Officer Dave Howes came across a man and a woman on Thursday, April 8th, at 11:41 am on the 300 block of West I Street. In the backseat of their car was a laptop computer stolen from a business on the 600 block of First Street. On April 7th the suspect in the theft had walked into the business just prior to closing and stole the computer from an employees desk. The laptop contained confidential information from the business.

Officer Bob Oettinger was able to contact the victim. Officer Oettinger drove the victim by the broken down vehicle and the victim positively the man as the person who had stolen the laptop computer.

Scott Christian, 31 years old, and 19 year old Samantha Hanson were taken into custody by Officer Howes. Christian was booked into the Solano County jail for burglary and possession of stolen property. Hanson was also booked into jail for possession of stolen property.

The laptop, valued at $1,000, was returned with all information intact to the First Street business.
