CALIFORNIA PC GUARDIAN UNVEILS NEW COMPUTER SECURITY DEVICE AT SHOW IN UKPR Newswire - A United Business Media CompanySAN RAFAEL, California, April 27 /PRNewswire/ --

System Allows Administrators to Control Assets, Gives Users Unique Combinations

Today at Infosecurity Europe 2004, the largest computer security trade show in England, PC Guardian Anti-Theft Products Inc. will unveil the Notebook Guardian(R) Pre-Set ComboLock, which provides corporations, institutions, and government agencies effective computer-theft protection while making it easier to recover computers when lock combinations have been forgotten.

The Pre-Set ComboLock will be on display at PC Guardian's booth (#736) in London's Olympia Exhibit Hall, from 27-29 April 2004. Or visit http://www.pcguardian.co.uk .

The Pre-Set ComboLock is an attractive and simple-to-use computer cable lock that secures enterprise PCs. Each lock is stamped with a unique serial number and its combination is "pre-set" at PC Guardian's factory.

A master list of serial numbers and matching combinations is sent directly by PC Guardian to the client's security administrator. When an employee forgets his/her combination, the Master List allows the administrator a fast and easy way to recover the combination and provides the organization with centralized control over computer assets.

Available in packages of 25, the Pre-Set ComboLock is developed around PC Guardian's patented Notebook Guardian(R) lock mechanism (U.S. Patent Nos. 5,983,679 and 6,321,579). Notebook Guardians protect hundreds of thousands of laptops against theft.

Computer hardware theft costs business and consumers more than US$5 billion each year, according to PC Guardian President Noah Groth. PC Guardian has responded by developing more than 150 computer anti-theft solutions -- more than any other computer security manufacturer. Businesses, governments, and institutions in more than 20 countries use PC Guardian products to protect computers and data.
