Several vehicles have been stolen from various locations in the Grand Junction area in recent days.
Police say residents can follow a few simple rules to help reduce the chances of their car being stolen.
Late Friday or early Saturday, someone broke into Carriage House Auto, 2559 U.S. Highway 6&50, and lifted the keys to two vehicles on the car lot, according to Grand Junction police. Thieves used keys from the dealer?s office to steal a white 1994 Ford Explorer valued at $3,000 and a green 1996 Honda Civic valued at $6,500.
They also took computer equipment and a safe from inside the business, police said."
