FLORIDA COMPUTER FLAT PANEL SCREENS STOLEN FROM HOSPITALNews | PensacolaNewsJournal.com: "Baptist employee accused of stealing, selling equipment
A Baptist Hospital employee is accused of stealing computer equipment from the hospital and selling it on eBay.
Timothy Todd Bowers, 34, of the 200 block of Jonah Avenue was arrested Thursday morning and charged with grand theft and and dealing in stolen property. He was released on a $20,000 bond.
Pensacola police Detective Brian Jones said 16 flat-screen computer monitors valued at $400 each are missing from the hospital and that one of the monitors was recovered from Bowers' home.
Jones said an anonymous tip prompted a hospital employee to search eBay and locate a buyer of one of the 17-inch computer monitors.
The purchaser was able to provide the serial number of the monitor and a shipping address to detectives, who traced the sale to Bowers, Jones said."
