OTTAWA LAKE, MI -- Detectives in Monroe County believe they've busted up a large theft ring. Six people are facing charges for break-ins in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. For the past year, businesses along old U.S. 223 have been plagued by thieves.

One business owner got so tired of being a victim, he did some undercover work of his own to help nab the crooks. Eric and Barbara Van Duzen own Van Duzen agency, a trucking company. In the last year, theives have smashed their way inside the business three times, making off with more than $25,000 worth of computers and tools.
