COM-GUARD ANNOUNCES PURCHASE ORDER AND CHINA MARKET UPDATE Com-Guard Announces a $1,575,000 Purchase Order from Wintergreen SystemsCARLSBAD, Calif., May 5, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Com-Guard, Inc. (CGUD) , a California-based PC security design firm, and Wintergreen Systems announce a purchase order for 4,500 Computer Systems to be used in the SecurePC marketplace. At the same time, Com-Guard has announced a relationship with Genesis Technology Group to source SecurePC products and Other Computer Products into the computer marketplace. Genesis Technology Group (GTEC) , a leading international business development firm that fosters bilateral commerce between companies in the West with those in China, announced today that it will establish an import/export group to supply Com-Guard with computer related products manufactured in China. We have had a good response to Com-Guard technologies in China and we see a need to source Computer products for Com-Guard to distribute in the domestic market.

Dr. Edward W. Savarese, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Com-Guard, commented: "After recently traveling to China with the Genesis team, I came away fully confident that we will be able to purchase products at the right price and with the right quality to provide to our customers in the emerging SecurePC marketplace. We are committed to work with Genesis and their contacts in China to purchase products manufactured in China."

"Com-Guard is broadening its scope in the sales and distribution of its technologies. This is the largest order that Com-Guard has received to date. As a direct result of the launching of our new strategy, we expect our revenues to significantly increase. This new strategy allows us to source full computers from China using our relationship with Genesis Technology Group and consequently to provide our sales and distribution partners a more well rounded, cost effective and robust solution for their end user's needs. The company has spent the past few years developing its Intellectual Property and is now able to capitalize on its contacts and technology. The SecurePC market is rapidly developing because of the average computer user fearing intrusions and loss of private data," said Mr. Joseph Sigismonti, President and COO of Com-Guard Inc.

Dr. James Wang, Chairman and President of Genesis Technology Group, said: "Com-Guard security products and technologies received praise for their advanced features from many industry experts in China. We are confident that Com-Guard products have huge potential in the Chinese PC security markets. Our Beijing offices also expressed their confidence to sell Com-Guard hardware and software products into the government sector immediately. What we need to do next is to have a well-designed marketing program or form joint ventures with some local companies in China to sell Com-Guard hardware and software security products to the vast and rapidly growing Chinese markets. Also, we have started to make significant connections with the computer manufacturers in China so that we may supply Com-Guard and other PC companies quality products at the right price."

Mr. John Levy stated: "I am looking forward to getting these new PC products from Com-Guard that will be manufactured in China. Com-Guard had previously received a purchase order from Wintergreen for 5,000 Com-Guard Pro hardware and software products for Wintergreen to produce and build the 'Com-Guard XP2400 SecurePC.' This new computer was the first product to have an anti-theft device and special software to protect the user's hardware and software assets. The 'Com-Guard XP2400 SecurePC' will be a complete solution to protect the PC from both hardware and data theft. We have seen an increasing demand for a SecurePC type product and we want to be geared up for volume delivery. This new order will allow Wintergreen to have a complete system manufactured in China and to add Com-Guard's patented Hardware and Software thus ensuring volume delivery of the product."
