ILLINOIS COMPUTERS STOLEN Police, fire and courts: "PEORIA - A 49-year-old Peoria man was arrested on burglary charges Tuesday after he was caught leaving a business he allegedly just robbed.
Dale E. Stone, 1231 N. Douglas St., Apt. 9, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. outside Adam's Outdoor Advertising, 911 SW Adams St.
Peoria police were dispatched to the business after an intrusion alarm sounded and found Stone walking away from the area, reports said.
In his possession police found several items he had stolen from the business, including a cell phone charger and fax machine and computer cords.
Stone was booked on a charge of business burglary and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
He was also charged Tuesday with four counts of burglary for break-ins that occurred between April 21 and Tuesday.
Police detectives found the Adam's Outdoor Advertising burglary was similar to about 20 unsolved burglary cases they were investigating, and through a police lineup, he was implicated in four of the burglaries.
In those cases, several laptop computers and other office equipment were stolen from businesses and offices in Downtown Peoria and Bradley University.
Stone was being held at the Peoria County Jail on Wednesday night, pending his court appearance"
