NEW YORK BUFFALO AREA HOTELS REPORTING COMPUTER LAPTOP THEFTSWIVB TV4 Buffalo, NY - More High Tech Equipment Stolen in Local HotelsCheektowaga, NY, May 13, 2004) - - Another story we brought you first on Thursday, someone is stealing high tech equipment from local hotels again.

Cheektowaga Police say someone broke into 5 rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn Wednesday night, and stole 6 laptop computers. Another 1 was stolen yesterday from the Courtyard Marriott in Amherst. Laptops were also stolen Wednesday Night from the Hampton Inn also in Amherst and from the 4 Points Sheraton on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga.

David Guyton, Courtyard Marriott General Manager said "I just sent out emails to several hotels in the New York State area just letting them know something like this unfortunately happened here and they could be headed their way." Cheektowaga Police say they're looking for a 4-door 2003 Nissan Sentra with license plate number CMV 9261.

Back in February, laptops were stolen from the Courtyard Marriott and Hampton Inn in Amherst. There's no word yet if those thefts or the recent ones are related.
