TEXAS COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM HIGH SCHOOLEl Paso Times Online
Computers, books and even mop heads were among about $50,000 worth of property allegedly stolen from Del Valle High School by a school security guard and his wife and 17-year-old daughter, El Paso police and Ysleta Independent School District officials said.

Jerry Casillas, 50, and his daughter Jessica Casillas were arrested on a burglary charge Thursday afternoon by the police Mission Valley Tactical team, officials said.

There is an outstanding warrant for his wife, Maria Dolores Casillas, 41.

"You name it, they took it," Ysleta district spokesman Larry Trejo said.

The district suspected internal theft at the Lower Valley school after about 26 items were found missing after spring break and Easter vacation.

Investigators began surveillance, including hidden cameras, and eventually recovered stolen items such as laptop computers, office and medical supplies, and a digital camera at the Casillas home in the 400 block of Bothwell, police and district officials said.

Jerry Casillas has worked 26 years for the Ysleta district, Trejo said.

All three were charged with burglary of a business, a state jail felony punishable by two years in state jail and a $10,000 fine.
