A SOMERCOTES businessman is fuming following a burglary of computer equipment at his premises on Nottingham Road.

A computer monitor and five computer hard drives were stolen during the incident around midnight last Thursday at Home Movers, a three-fold business consisting of estate agents, financial services and solicitors.
The three offenders smashed the shop window to gain entry into the property.
Police were alerted by a witness who spotted the offenders drive off at speed down Somercotes Hill in a white Vauxhall Cavalier.
Officers have issued a description of the offenders. The first is described as a black, 5ft 10ins tall, slim and in his 20's. The second was a white male, 5ft 10ins tall, slim, in his 20's who wore a light blue hooded top and the third person was a black male, 5ft 10ins tall, aged 19 - 20, slim and wearing a baseball cap and dark clothing.
Steve Barlow, who owns the premises and is part owner of the business, said: 'The people responsible smashed a big double glazed window with a slab of concrete and stole computer equipment. It's not so much the monetary value but it's the hassle they have caused.
'This is a newly opened business which was just beginning to thrive.'
