LOUISIANA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM SCHOOLSNotebook Computers Stolen from SchoolInvestigators in Evangeline Parish have made a break in a case involving thousands of dollars in stolen school property.
According to Detective Keith Dupre with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department, four adults and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a series of school burglaries.
25-year-old Charles Jones, 19-year-old Adam Chapman, Jr, 17-year-old Jeremy Thomas and 21-year-old Christopher Spriggins have all been charged with theft and burglary.
The two other suspects, both 15-year-old boys, have been released to their parents on the same charges.
Detectives say twice over the Christmas holiday, 17-year-old Jeremy Thomas and two 15-year-old boys broke into the Evangeline Parish Alternative School in Vidrine.
Detectives say on both occasions, the three suspects got into the school through a window in the back of the building. All in all, detectives say 23 laptop computers were stolen, worth about $46,000.

And just last week, two other Evangeline Parish schools were vandalized, Bayou Chicot and Vidrine High schools.
Detective Keith Dupre: Their main objective was to break into the coke machines, the vending machines...
Through investigation, detectives found that the three people suspected of stealing the laptops are also connected to these break-ins. Further investigations revealed that three other people, Adam Chapman, Jr., Charles Jones and Christopher Spriggins were also involved.
So far, 13 of the stolen laptops have been recovered. Now, investigators are asking for your help.
If you have one of the stolen laptops, investigators say you can turn it in, no questions asked.
