That level houses among other things the department's payroll unit.

Education officials could not immediately say if the stolen equipment contained sensitive, payroll information.

The education building is armed with security cameras.

But police say it has no alarm system.

It's certainly not the first time the public schools have been hit.

Last year, someone broke into a DOE trailer and walked away with 12 new computers
