LAKESIDE – Computers, stereo gear and science classroom items stolen from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic school were recovered yesterday in a stolen vehicle, sheriff's officials said.

The vehicle had been taken from Beechtree Street, where the owner left it idling while she took her child into a day-care center at 7:30 a.m.

About half an hour later, a deputy found the stolen vehicle at Lakeside Discount Liquor on Wintergardens Boulevard. He arrested a man who came out of the store and headed to the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, sheriff's officials said, was property taken in a burglary Tuesday night at the Catholic school on Lakeshore Drive. The items were returned to the school.
