Some laptops were stolen from Middlesboro Middle School and it's the second time there's been a break-in at the school this month.

Teachers and students are now coping with what they have left.

"Every person use to be able to have their own and now, as you saw, there's groups of three at the most sharing a computer and it's kind of hard," Mallory Shoffner said.

"It's a real financial loss. It just bothers me that the kids, especially those with no access to computers, a computer system, are really being denied to use a computer," Kathye Greene said.

The stolen laptops caused several teachers to lose all of their tests.

Principal Steve Spangler says it took three years of fundraising to get the computers.

It looks like insurance may help the school eventually get back what they lost.

Until then, Greene and her students are making do with what they've got.

Middlesboro Police believe those responsible could be young people and may be former students.

They ask the public to be on the lookout for anyone trying to sell the black Dell laptop computers taken from the school.
