Finjan Software has announced a patent licensing agreement and equity investment with Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft has purchased a non-exclusive worldwide license for select Finjan patents covering computer security technologies and become a minority shareholder in the Company.
The deal enables Microsoft to incorporate innovative ideas developed by Finjan and use those ideas to improve future security technologies.

Finjan benefits from a wide range of patents dating back to 1996. For nine years now, Finjan's approach in developing innovative security technologies has proven to be an efficient and effective compliment to signature based security.
