Police seek clues in Mt. Holiday break-ins
FROM STAFF REPORTS
TRAVERSE CITY - Two recent break-ins at the Mount Holiday ski lodge have sheriff's officials and the ski hill's leaders looking for answers.
Someone broke into the lodge building through a basement door between Sept. 23 and Sept. 26 and stole a laptop computer. The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department is investigating that incident and another break-in at the same location in May, when a small amount of cash was taken.
Jeff Morrison, Mount Holiday's executive director, urged anyone with information about the break-ins to call the sheriff's department. He said the information contained on the stolen computer is essential to operating the ski hill, which is owned by a local nonprofit group.
"This project has been an enormous amount of work, and these things just set things back," he said.
